I've been working in the restaurant business for five years now. I've had my share of Ups and Downs, Excessive Drama and Ridiculous drama, late paychecks, no paychecks at all, nutty bosses and nutty costumers, overly sexual or good-for-nothing coworkers , etc, etc etc. At this point I feel I could write a book about the restaurant service industry but I'm not ready for that yet. Today I want to talk about spitting in people's food, a blog post from the Bitchy Waiter, which I suggest you read as well because I completely agree with his views on this "myth." Personally, I've never spit in anyone's food because, in my view, giving off negative energy will attract negative energy into my life. Also, its disgusting and childish. I have also never seen anyone do that thankfully but If you disrespect me in any way you will get a terrible service from me. I will go as far as not pay attention to your table (no water filling, no special treatment, not checking on you, not even talk to you) And if I'm disgusted by you I will send someone else to finish you off and I perhaps will tell other servers how rude/disgusting/stupid you were. follow the mantra "Don't fuck with people that handle your food" that much is true. Anyway, I found this video about "S*hit waiters do/say" and thought it was hilarious, many of them are just like things my coworkers and I would do/say:
On to better topics, such as this beautiful set of photographs about families from around the world and what a week of groceries looks like to them. This is from Mexico for Example:
Last I have this interview of Charles Ramsey, the neighbor who found the three kidnapped young women in Cleveland. I just loved his interview on the accounts of the finding. I know it's not about food but he starts his interview by talking about how he was having his Mcdonald's meal when he heard the noises coming from next door. So there you go! It all starts with food... FM
