The "Latinoamerica" video from Calle 13 that was released yesterday. Calle 13 featured Susana Baca, Toto la Mompolina and Maria Rita in their videos. I was surprised to see them featured in the video, except for Maria Rita. She was the only one that wasn't on the video. Susana Baca however, had a lot more coverage than Toto and I wonder if it is because she recently became the minister of Culture in Peru. Anyway, the video is moving, dignifies the human Latin American experience. What I mean is that through dignity and pride our diversity can co-exist together and take our continent pa' lante. Its about recognizing ourselves a pesar del dolor y la historia opresora que tenemos en nuestras espaldas. Perdonamos, pero no olvidamos como escribio Rene.
