Yesterday I attended CERRU's 2012 Launch Party. CERRU is the center for which I worked as a Facilitator for the last two years of College. It was probably the most memorable and life-defining experience aside from my love for theatre. I was able to meet students who, just like me, have a never-ending curiosity for cultures other than their own. CERRU forges dialogues and understandings among these cultures through their dialogue-driven events. That's how I came to be friends with other facilitators. That is also how I became active in the issues I care the most such as the dream act, and to be able to share my views with others was great too. I also was able to learn from them, what is like to be American Jewish, Muslim and a Woman, Palestinian, Homeless, etc.
They finally launched their website so here it is www.cerru.org
Check them out and if you have a chance go to one of their events in Queens College.
