This week I organized a great action in Long Island in support of the NY Dream Act. We had a pretty good turnout and the press even covered it! We were protesting outside of Sen. Skelos' office, who is the state senate republican leader, to let him know that Long Island and epecifically his district, care about the NY Dream Act! I was one of the speakers who told my immigration story as well as organizer story around this important issue.
