My brother who attended the United Latin Conference yesterday was representing CUNY and was asked to ask the panelists who were republican state legislators (I'm still wondering why there weren't democrats.)
This is what he said when it came his turn to speak:
" I'm a very active student and leader at my University. It is a love and passion for public service that encourages me to do what I do.
However, there's a difference between me and all my other friends who are with me today.
I'm a dreamer, a student who lacks the status to be a proper citizen of this great country.
And for almost a decade this has been my home.
my question is : Do you think the "Dream Act" will become the law of New York State before it becomes the law of the land?"

so proud of him <3
