I can't believe I just walked from NYU to the middle of nowhere in Staten Island, aka Rep. Michael Grimm's SI office. I walked almost 11 miles non stop! I am so exhausted as I write this post sitting on the ferry on my way back to Manhattan.
All I can say for now is that this pilgrimage did helped me reflect on the hardships that so many immigrants go through when crossing the border, especially under the rough desert conditions they go to an uncertain future. That's admirable.
I'm done for the day, let me take care of my hard earned blisters now.
